Automatic Reconstruction of Building Façade Model from Photogrammetric Mesh Model

Three-dimensional (3D) building façade model reconstruction is of great significance in urban applications and real-world visualization. This paper presents a newly developed method for automatically generating 3D regular from the photogrammetric mesh model. To this end, contour tracked on irregular triangulation, then local tree based topological relationship employed to represent structure Subsequently, segmented groups are found by analyzing contours, original divided into various components bottom top through iteration process. After that, each component iteratively robustly abstracted cuboids. Finally, parameters cuboid adjusted be close model, lightweight polygonal taken cuboid. Typical buildings whole scene models exploited assess proposed quantitatively qualitatively. The obtained results reveal that can derive with certain accuracy.
